INSTALLATION Instructions:

A widely used open-source acoustics simulation software, for use with the Rhinoceros and Grasshopper design software.

For the latest:

  1. Open Rhinoceros 8, service release 9 or later.

(Demo versions in the first 90 days after installation will work also.)

For more information, see Rhino - Downloads.

  2. Type ‘PackageManager’ into the command prompt, and press ‘enter’.

  3. Search for ‘Pachyderm’ in the package manager.

  4. Select the latest version, and make sure that ‘Automatically update packages when Rhino starts’ is selected in order to receive updates. Click ‘Install’.

    NOTES:

    • It may be necessary to close and re-open Rhino for everything to run correctly. If Pachyderm is loaded, you should see the ORASE and Pachyderm splash screens pop up on the screen.

    • In order for the Grasshopper extensions in Pachyderm to be working correctly, the Rhino version of Pachyderm must be loaded and working correctly. ORASE strongly recommends getting to know the Rhino version of Pachyderm before delving into the Grasshopper version of Pachyderm.
